If you choose to buy a Beechcroft Healthihouse™, you can be that your new home has been designed to provide you with a healthier living environment. Touch surfaces such as light switches and door handles that may host bacterial colonies have antimicrobial properties that reduce the spread and growth of bacteria. Our kitchen worksurfaces also have antimicrobial properties and, being non-porous, they won’t stain, crack or enable bacteria to grow. Bathrooms and en-suites are fitted with wall panelling which is hygienic and easier to clean than traditional tiled surfaces and the sanitaryware also features technology designed to suppress bacterial growth.

Beechcroft’s houses and apartments are also energy efficient retirement homes, featuring a ‘whole house ventilation system’ which continuously exchanges stale indoor air with fresh, filtered outdoor air, improving the air quality. This process helps remove pollutants, odours – including cooking odours, allergens and excess moisture preventing condensation and mould, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. The Whole House Ventilation system also recovers heat from the outgoing air which reduces the cost of heating and cooling and the system helps distribute warm or cool air more effectively, minimising cold spots in the home.

In addition, each Beechcroft Healthihouse™ has a water filtration system for the kitchen tap. This removes impurities such as chlorine and sediment, resulting in fresher, purer drinking water which still retains essential minerals. Having filtered tap water means reduced reliance on plastic water bottles and also helps prevent the build up of limescale in kettles, coffee machines and other kitchen appliances, extending their lifespan and reducing maintenance. 

Before you move in, your Healthihouse™ is deep cleaned to standards set out by the World Health Organisation for the cleaning and disinfection of domestic environments. which emphasise the importance of proper cleaning and disinfection practises to prevent the spread of infection and to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
