Behind the name: Pinewood Place

The name of Beechcroft’s exclusive, gated, retirement development of 29 elegant new on homes situated on Hatch Lane, Windsor, has been inspired by its location and its former use.

Prior to Beechcroft’s acquisition, this site was home to Pine Lodge, a hospice set up by Dr Douglas Denny.

The Beechcroft team wanted to retain part of the name and, as the world ‘hatch’ in Saxon times was used to refer to a gate leading to a wood or fenced area of land, the obvious choice was Pinewood Place.
