When Annie Inglis first visited Beechcroft’s Bramley House at Pinewood Place in Windsor, she didn’t have to go far. For 35 years, she had been living happily in an apartment just down the road from the new retirement development but she had come to realise that her home might not be suitable for her in future years, as she explains:
“I had been thinking about moving for three or four years because I knew that, in years to come, I would have difficulty managing the stairs. I also wanted the security of a gated development and an allocated parking space, which I didn’t have at my former home."

“I fell in love with the Beechcroft apartment as soon as I saw it,” says Ms Inglis. “I viewed the show home and then bought the two-bedroom apartment next to the show home. Now, I’m living on the ground floor and I have a lovely private patio outside. Moving was a big decision but I am so glad that I have done it. I am absolutely loving living at Pinewood Place. I’ve bought all my new kitchen equipment and had curtains and shutters installed which really suit the apartment.”
“The staff here are really friendly and helpful, including the site staff and the Estate Manager. Having an Estate Manager is a good idea when growing older. It means there’s a point of contact and someone to help when you need a hand with something. There’s a sense of community here. I met my neighbours at a recent garden party and some of us got together for drinks afterwards.”
