Macmillan Coffee Mornings help raise vital funds to support the three million people in the UK living with cancer – and when Beechcroft’s homeowners got together to hold Macmillan coffee mornings at Cotswold Gate, Burford and Castle Gardens, Watlington, even they were surprised at the amount of money they managed to raise.
The coffee mornings, held in the communal lounge at Cotswold Gate and in the residents’ pavilion at Castle Gardens raised over £1200. Homeowners not only enjoyed coffee and cake with their neighbours, but they also brought cakes, gifts, artwork, wine, and chocolate to be raffled.
“We are really impressed by the fund raising at the two developments,” commented Angela South, Beechcroft’s Sales, and Marketing Director. “There is a strong sense of community at both Cotswold Gate and Castle Gardens and homeowners get together regularly to chat over coffee and to attend social events, but the Macmillan Coffee Mornings are really special events.”
Priced from £350,000 for a two-bedroom apartment with balcony, and located less than a mile from Burford High Street, the elegant, energy-efficient houses and apartments at Cotswold Gate are designed exclusively for the over 55s.
Following the sales success at Castle Gardens, the final two-bedroom house with sun room, terrace and balcony is available at £585,000. Homebuyers who missed out on the first phase of development won't have long to wait because Beechcroft is now registering interest in a new collection of 25 one and two-bedroom apartments at the second stage of development, Castle Mews, where guide prices start from £350,000.
