The Housing Market remains open

Beechcroft is pleased to confirm that, following updated Government guidelines on the new national restrictions in place from 5th January, according to Government guidelines, the housing market in England will remain open during the latest lockdown.

Our sales teams continue to work and, as estate agents, solicitors and removal companies are still operating, you’ll be able to search for a new home, sell your current property and make your move.

If you’re hoping to move to one of our retirement communities or a Special Projects’ development, then don’t worry we are here to help and our sales offices remain open for appointment. The property market has been extremely busy over the past few months and Beechcroft retirement developments have been particularly popular. Location is still important but beautiful settings and spacious homes with terraces, balconies, roof terraces or private gardens have been topping homebuyers’ priority lists. Our estate management service has also been much appreciated by our homeowners and their families.

Find a new home

Your well-being is our priority and our working practises have been designed to ensure that you feel safe and confident when visiting our sales offices and show homes.

We are operating an appointment system in order to give us time to clean all surfaces in the show homes and sales offices between visits.

Our sales team will be wearing face coverings and maintaining social distancing and we ask that our visitors do the same (unless exempt). We also ask that only people from your household attend the appointment.

If you would like further information about the safety measures in place at Beechcroft developments, please speak to our sales consultants.

We suggest that you start your search for a Beechcroft home online. Our website includes details on the local area, photographs of the development, floorplans and prices for the available properties. We have also introduced video tours which you will be able to view in the comfort of your own home.

If you would like to learn more about a development, a particular property or just about life as part of a Beechcroft community, you are welcome to arrange a telephone consultation or a video call with a member of our sales team and, of course, arrange a personal visit to your chosen development.

Moving into your new home

Packing your own possessions can be mentally and physically exhausting at the best of times – and particularly now. It is worth considering our ‘Manage Your Move’ package which means your furniture and possessions will be packed and transported to your new Beechcroft home for you.

The removal company will probably ask you to clean your household belongings with a standard domestic cleaning product before anyone, including the removal team, touch them.

When you’re buying a new Beechcroft home, you can be confident it will be deep cleaned prior to your move and, of course, the advantage of a new home is that no one else has lived there and the fixtures and fittings are brand new.

Estate Management

Our management company, ELM, is an extremely professional organisation with access to the best advice. ELM keeps in touch with Age UK and similar agencies in order to keep the estate management team updated as to the latest news and ideas on how to cope with the current situation.

The Estate Manager on each Beechcroft development handles the day-to-day administration including organising the cleaning of communal areas and the upkeep of both private and communal gardens.

During recent months, the Estate Managers have been carrying out additional cleaning in the communal areas, shopping, collecting prescriptions, writing newsletters, helping homeowners stay in touch and undertaking many other tasks to help residents especially those who live alone.

Please remember that your Estate Manager is on hand to offer practical help, act as a ‘sounding board’ for any anxieties, provide reassurance, chat to you on the phone or just to be a ‘friendly face’ around the development. You can also be sure that your Estate Manager will provide some interesting topics for discussion – rather than focusing solely on the current situation.
