Neighbours and visitors got together at Beechcroft’s retirement communities, Pinewood Place in Windsor and Castle Gardens, Watlington to chat over coffee and cake whilst raising funds for Macmillan.
Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest fundraising event to support people living with cancer. People all over the UK host their own coffee mornings and donations raised on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2022, the charity raised over £12 million.
At Beechcroft’s Castle Gardens, the coffee morning was held in the residents’ pavilion with Estate Manager, Linda Hunn, on hand to help out. At Pinewood Place, Windsor the event was held in Beechcroft’s marketing suite – and the sales team was delighted to help out.
In addition to coffee and cake, there was a raffle at each development to boost the fundraising.
“Cancer touches most of our lives and Macmillan offers an exceptional service, providing information to help with the practical, emotional and financial impacts of supporting someone with cancer,” comments Angela South, Beechcroft’s Sales and Marketing Director. “We are always happy to facilitate the Macmillan Coffee Morning at our developments. Of course, the events were the perfect opportunity for new and prospective residents to meet and socialise.”
