Beechcroft returns to West Horsley with plans approved for a new development, designed for the over 55s
Leading retirement developer, Beechcroft, has acquired planning permission which will see the company returning to West Horsley, just over a decade after the completion of its multi-award winning Frenchlands Gate development.
Located on a three-acre site, fringed by mature trees and hedgerow, Beechcroft’s latest development will comprise 45 two-bedroom homes, both houses and apartments for the over 55s, designed built and finished to the same high standard as Frenchlands Gate.
Designed to respect the local landscape, the new development will feature a residents’ lounge, a luxurious guest suite for visiting family and friends along with allocated parking and electric vehicle charging points. An on-site Estate Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the development, organising the cleaning and maintenance of the communal areas and the upkeep of both the landscaped setting and private gardens.
“We are delighted to have achieved planning permission for our new development on Epsom Road, which will provide residents with easy access to local shops, services and transport links,” comments Chris Thompson, Beechcroft’s Managing Director. “It will meet the need, not only for retirement homes in this popular area, but for the type of properties that active, independent people over the age of 55 really want to live in.”
, Managing Director of Beechcroft
“Over the last 40 years, we have gained an excellent reputation for creating award-winning retirement developments and landscaping schemes. Our homes are designed to provide generously proportioned, light filled living space but fewer bedrooms than one would expect to find in a mainstream home of a similar size.”
“Our landscaped settings are an important, integral part of development designs and environmental considerations are high on our list of priorities. We retain mature trees and hedgerow where possible, make provisions to encourage wildlife and aim to improve the biodiversity of the sites on which we build.”
