A new home for Rod and Muriel Stafford at Redcliffe Place

Rod and Muriel Stafford had been living in their family home in Surrey for 40 years when they decided that the time had come to make a move.

Rod and Muriel Stafford had been living in their family home in Surrey for 40 years when they decided that the time had come to make a move. They were finding it increasingly onerous dealing with the leaves from their oak trees.

About six months after they began to search, their son noticed Beechcroft’s  Redcliffe Place in Tunbridge Wells. He was impressed with the development of 26 elegant new homes tucked away in a mature, landscaped setting just off Frant Road, less than a mile from The Pantiles. Mr and Mrs Stafford were equally impressed when they viewed the development on Beechcroft’s website and, as soon as Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, they paid a visit to Beechcroft’s sales office and show homes.

“Our first impression was that the building was very attractive – and compact. We didn’t want to live in a large development. We had previously viewed another apartment scheme in Tunbridge Wells but it was like a hotel with long corridors and lots of doors,” says Mr Stafford. “In fact, we liked Redcliffe Place so much that we reserved an apartment on our very first visit. We chose a three-bedroom apartment that has a lovely layout and a private balcony overlooking the communal gardens.”

“The size of the apartment is ideal and our new home is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and mature trees – and the best thing is that we don’t have to maintain them. Downsizing also means having a home that’s easier to manage and more energy-efficient than our previous home and that is very important to us.”

“We are enjoying living in Tunbridge Wells close to family; we are able to spend more time with our grandchildren. Moving here has been an entirely different experience – we spent 40 years in our former home and knew everywhere well. We are now enjoying exploring  Tunbridge Wells and have discovered a few nice pubs – including a couple in Frant. Redcliffe Place is also within easy reach of the town centre, which is home to the Pantiles and a selection of shops, restaurants and green open spaces.”

“The Beechcroft team has been very helpful. We had a few problems before selling our home in Surrey but Beechcroft was supportive. The team is organising a pre-Christmas get together so we will be able to meet our new and prospective neighbours. We have already met a couple of them and it seems like there will be a nice group of people living here.”

The new show homes at Redcliffe Place provide home buyers an opportunity to appreciate the style and the light-filled living space at this new development. Currently two new homes are available at Redcliffe Place – a two-bedroom coach house style apartment priced at £560,000 and a three-bedroom apartment at £675,000. Each comes complete with a full complement of integrated appliances, flooring throughout, fitted wardrobes to two bedrooms, vanity units and mirrors in the bathrooms and en-suites and a private balcony.
