Easy Burger Recipe

This super-easy homemade beef burger recipe is simple and delicious. These burgers are packed with flavour and won't disappoint.

Ingredients

  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • A handful of frozen chunky chips
  • 1 x 500g pack Beef Mince 
  • 1 tsp mixed dried herbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 slices mature Cheddar (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 4 white burger buns
  • A few round iceberg lettuce leaves.
  • 1 beef tomato, sliced
  • ketchup, to serve (optional)
  • mayo, to serve (optional)

Tip: Why not trying barbequing the burgers for a more intense flavour? 

Method 

  1. Pre-heat the oven for your chunky chips and cook your chips using the instructions provided 
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened and starting to turn golden.
  3. In a bowl, combine the beef mince with the herbs and the egg. Season well, add the onions, and mix. Use your hands and shape into 4 burger patties.
  4. Cook the burgers on a preheated hob or grill for 5-6 minutes on each side. While the second side is cooking, lay a slice of cheese on top to melt slightly (if using).
  5. Meanwhile, lightly toast the cut-sides of the buns in the toaster. Fill with the lettuce, burgers, and tomato slices. We recommend adding Ketchup and Mayoanise to the burger.
