Chris Thompson accepted the role of Managing Director with Beechcroft in 1999, having rejoined the company. Chris first joined Beechcroft on leaving college in the 1980s and has played an important role in the company's development over the last three decades. Chris specialises in the selection of sites and the design of both new retirement housing schemes and properties for conversion in some of the best locations in Southern England.
With over 35 years' experience in the housing industry, gained with some of the UK's best known house builders, Angela South has developed the Beechcroft brand and is responsible for bringing Beechcroft retirement houses and apartments and Special Projects to the market, creating accurate and informative marketing literature, promoting developments, managing the sales process and communicating with customers.
Brian Mills joined Beechcroft in 2009 having been previously employed as Finance Director at London Green Developments, a property company specialising in the regeneration of brownfield sites in and around London. Brian's role involves providing financial and accounting leadership across all areas of the business. He is responsible for developing and implementing Beechcroft's financial strategy, liaising with a variety of financial institutions including banks, insurers and other advisors.
Jonathan Smee joined Beechcroft in January 2022 bringing a wealth of experience in all areas of construction and a passion for restoring and refurbishing historic buildings. Since graduating from the University of The West of England with a degree in Construction Management, Jonathan started his career in main contracting before moving into housebuilding, joining Barratt in 2001. Since then, he has been employed by some of the UK's major housebuilders including Taylor Wimpey and more recently The Berkeley Group. As Beechcroft's Operations Director, Jonathan will take responsibility for the commercial, technical and build teams.
A Chartered Construction Manager with 20 years’ experience encompassing commercial development, volume housing, housing association and high specification retirement schemes. In the role of Commercial Director, Ben Goss is responsible for Beechcroft's commercial function from land acquisition through to final accounts. This includes the management and production of Beechcroft's build and material budgets and contracts, along with forming trading partnerships with subcontractors and suppliers. Ben also specialises in the production of Beechcroft’s highly detailed new build and refurbishment development specifications.
Kevin Feeney accepted the role of Technical Director with Beechcroft at the end of 2013, having worked with the company since 2005, on a full-time, part-time and consultancy basis. Kevin, originally from a Civil Engineering background, has spent the last 35 years working in the property industry and brings a wealth of residential development experience gained from his work with some of the South's leading house builders.
Mike Bowman joined Beechcroft in 2015, having spent 22 years working in the property industry for companies including Millgate Homes, Shanly Homes, Rectory Homes and Charles Church. Mike’s background in Civil Engineering, including 14 years spent working in Civil Engineering Design, has proved invaluable in his current role as Technical Director, a post he has held since 2018. His current role involves working with the internal Beechcroft team and with external consultants to design homes and developments that meet our customers’ needs and expectations. He manages all elements of the design process from planning and detailed design to construction and occupation.
Matthew Jeal joined Beechcroft in 2021 from the Shanly Group, where he spent more than three years as Head of Planning & Development. Having acquired a post-graduate master's degree in Spatial Planning, specialising in Urban Design in 2008, Matthew was first employed as Planning Officer for Wokingham Borough Council and later as Senior Planner for a firm of property consultants. In 2012, he moved to the housebuilding sector, becoming Land & Planning Manager for the Country Estates Group incorporating Darcliffe Homes, before being promoted to the role of Land & Planning Director in 2015. In his new role with Beechcroft, Matthew will work closely with the land team on all aspects of planning.
Brett Jacobs commenced his career at Berkeley Homes in 1994 and, over the past 25 years, has acquired land for some of the UK’s best-known house builders. Brett joined Beechcroft as Land Director in 2016 and is currently responsible for sourcing and acquiring land opportunities and obtaining planning consent for developments in prime residential locations across the southern counties of England.
Holly Foreman has been working in the property industry since 1998, gaining a wealth of experience of on-site sales and sales management with several of the country's leading housebuilders. Holly joined Beechcroft from Crest Nicholson in 2015 and, as Sales Director, is responsible for Beechcroft's dedicated sales team based on developments across the southern counties.
Simon Burke accepted the post of Customer Services Director with Beechcroft in June 2021, bringing over 30 years’ experience of working in the housebuilding industry across London and the South of England. Simon’s first post in the industry was working as a Technical Trainee with the NHBC and, over the years that followed, he led and improved customer service teams at Berkeley Homes, Charles Church and, most recently, Crest Nicholson. Simon worked for Beechcroft previously and has rejoined the company to take responsibility for the customer journey and experience following legal completion.
