Moving home can be traumatic at any time but even more so when you have been living abroad for many years. David and Jane Peatfield know this all too well, having moved to Beechcroft’s 'The Farthings' development in Leatherhead, Surrey, after enjoying life in South Africa since 1981.

"Initially, our relocation to South Africa was on a two year business contract which turned into 36 years of life in a truly beautiful country where we experienced the amazing wildlife, wonderful climate and the joy of living in a coastal forest estate with its natural beauty. We decided to move to Surrey where we could be close to our son and his family in Cobham and our daughter and family in Fetcham," says Mrs. Peatfield. "Although we had looked at other Beechcroft developments, the Leatherhead development suited our needs perfectly".

"We had looked for various types of property on the relevant websites but the Beechcroft website gave us a really good 'feel' about the company and its developments. We were very excited to be at the launch of the Farthings last summer and were very impressed with the spaciousness of the apartments and particularly liked the large hall/dining areas leading into all the other rooms. The fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom and bedroom two were also a selling point for us. We fell in love with the show home with its very modern look. We are very happy with our three bedroom ground floor apartment and make very good use of the sun room which overlooks our lovely patio and garden area. One level living is perfect for us as we face the challenges that later life present. Equally it is reassuring to know the benefits of an Estate Manager for maintaining the standards of the estate".

As David and Jane have discovered, the finish on the new homes at The Farthings is excellent.
